Last time I jailbrok was my 3G, Now I have an i4 with 4.3.2 and when they went untethered recently I jailbroke.
I havent used many themes long enough to be sure, so this might just be the theme I'm using. However with the Aquarium theme, and I suspect many others, every day I get several banner ads that pop up in the background, behind the icons.
What the heck is the deal with that? I don't need what should be a static background image pulling web content to serve me up ads.
Is this a thing the developer of the theme controls, is it a consequence of having the jailbreak, or something else?
More importantly how do I turn it off.

superfluous "design" elements make it look needlessly bulky, completely negating the original design's desire to be as minimal and unobtrusive as possible.

Wow that's amazing. How much did it cost roughly and how long did it take you to collect so many?
I started collecting DVDs in 2001/2002 (can't really tell exactly) and bought my last one in 2009. Before that I bought laserdiscs (still have a nice collection of those, too). Here in Germany it was quite difficult to get movies without dubbed sound (Germans dub everything) and I absolutely hate not hearing the original actor's voice. We're talking pre-internet era here, early to mid nineties. So I went for (expensively) imported LDs. When DVDs were introduced it was a dream come true. Next to the German dubbing almost every DVD contained the original sound and was much cheaper compared to an LD, plus the picture quality was way better. I sometimes still watch an LD, though, because the analog audiotracks rule. ;)
Summing it up: Nine years, lots of cash, no regrets. Now I'm all digital with a Mac mini and 6TB connected to my flatscreen. It's really comfortable.

I use the US iTunes store but it's not my country, so my international credit card isn't allowed.
Anyways, I could try ebay too but I don't see many there now.

I think there is definitely a market that would buy these things, I mean some people do pay $15,000 for a TV right, and I think there are plenty of labs and such that use Apple's and could use a 30" screen. And as far as the current economy goes, this is rumored to be a year or more away so that isnt really an issue either, they also stated that it would have the same resoulion as the 23" one now. The digital lifestyle device is a tough one though, there are so many rumors about PDA's and phones that's it's almost impossible to say.
Personally if it was one of those two I think it would be the phone, Jobs has stated before that PDA's may be ancient and pointless now and "one day you won't even think about using a (cell?) phone without a computer...)

Single player mostly. I just find I'd rather be doing something else than playing video games when I'm with a group of friends. Unless it's something interactive like Guitar Hero, haven't tried a Wii yet but I'm sure I'd dig that.

I'll try and make this logical-
Is there a quick way to include what the person I am quoting quoted when I quote them?
In other words, if somebody quotes me and I want to reply, when I press quote it only includes what they wrote, not what I originally wrote as well. On busy threads it can would be useful to be able to quote everything.

Hey guys. I currently have the 2009 iMac. Since last 2months ago i needed to run a program 24/7 for a big project. i checked istate today and it said that the uptime was 40 days :eek:
This is AWESOME!! I can safely say you cannot achieve this with a windows machine:D

Doubt screen size has anything to do with it - I'm running three displays off my Mini without any lag (2 at 1920x1080 aka 1080p and one at 1920x1200).
Do you have the Mac Mini plugged into a port labeled HDMI/DVI that is perhaps handled differently by the TV? I'm thinking image processing on the TV might be the cause of the lag, but I'm not 100% sure.
I don't have one yet, which is why I was asking...lol...glad to hear it works great though.

Interesting...the first pic like arn said was already discussed. As for the second pic...maybe the ti will get a radeon 9000. Will it be 32 MB or 64 MB...i'm hopin' 64 MB. Depends on whether the next update is october or beyond...

Why don't you try one of these many jailbreaks you have "seen online" instead of posting this ridiculous thread, you could even use the search option, I would go as far as to say that it would be front page news on macrumors if it had happened anywhere other than in your imagination!

Not only is this app not ready for prime time, but these dependencies are really hammering my drive space. And I now have worms.

Also that is one sure way to fry your Mac. Power surge can happen at any time.. Do you really trust those $100 surge boards for 24/7 use or do you have UPS.
Also think of how much dust gets in there...
Not smart to leave your computer on 24/7.
My first Mac and first iMac... the 2006 Core Duo... left it on 24/7 unless I had to reboot due to updates or crashes.
But since I got my Mac Pro last year, I didn't need it on anymore. Funnily enough, the hardy iMac won't turn on anymore :p
