Hi all,
This is my first post here, if it is not in the appropriate location please excuse me.
My company filed my I-485, EAD and AP together.(On Auguest 6th this year) They asked me for only one check for $745.
I was reading through a few posts and found that everybody had submitted 3 individual cheques for the same...
Is this ok? Or did my company do a blunder.
I have not yet recieved any receipts.
I just had one single check...Don't sweat..

Hi,
Recently I have received following mail from USCIS that my case is transferred to NBC. How it's going to effect my case process? What could be possible reason that it transferred to National Benefit Center? IS NBC faster or slow?

Sorry I could not find answer for this question on any of the threads here. can anyone please answer the question below
"Copy of visa page of passport in color " is listed as one of the supporting docs for ead renewal.(in the IV thread on EAD self filing)
Do I need to send the copy of visa stamp even if my stamp has expired and I am working on EAD? (my I-797/I-94 expired too).
Can someone please answer this as I need to apply for ead renewal soon.
I had the same question so i spoke to my lawyer/attorney
she said that it is not necessary
infact in intial eveidence
1) copy of passport or DL or Visa Page or some national Id with picture
2) color photos
3) copy of 485 recipt or EAD
She said most of the attornies/lawyers are asking for extra documentations so that to pre-empt RFEs but she asked me to file with intial evidence that is asked on the instruction form i.e the three items i mentioned above.
I filed with those if they require additional evidence i will comply.

Does anyone know if the B1 visa can be extended in US? The visa stamp on the passport is for 6months. when entered US, the officer granted 5.5 months of stay.......
I am thinking I simply appy for B1 extension 30 days before I-94 expiry date and the actual visa stamp on the visa does not matter.....is it true

Yes you can extend your B1, but you must have a very good reason for your extension request. And you may be questioned next time you come into the country. I have a friend that was questioned on a returning trip to the US

Dear Core Team,
Can you please indicate on the site if there are any bills (pending or otherwise in both the house and senate) that can get renewed focus or revived that would offer some sort of relief to the current situation of unavailability of visa numbers in the employment based green card process. I strongly feel that the current momentum and attention being drawn by the DOS/CIS update can be used to urge congress to pass some interim measure outside of CIR. That is where in my opinion should IV's focus be at this juncture. If and when you post anything on the site, i and other IV members i'm sure shall begin calling house reps. and senators to urge them for bringing the bill to the floor so that it provides relief to hundreds of thousands of legal immigrants.

I went to US on B1 and came back to india last week, I would like to apply H1 in the current year. Is there any cooling period to apply H1B once come back from US on B1 or Can I start the H1B process immediately.

Ask him to print the duplicate from your payroll system....this should not be an issue at all if he is not trying to hide anything.
There is a good chance that the visa officer will ask you to prove your legal status on H1 and you may have to do a lot of explaining about the change in status.
It just seems like something is not right here

It seems people who applied for AP in TSC are getting their APs faster, compared to those who applied at NSC.
Refer processing times at https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/Processtimes.jsp?SeviceCenter=NSC and search for "All other applicants for advance parole". Right now they are processing July 03, 2007 cases.

I have to attend for H1 visa renewal...means I got extended H1 handy and All I have to do is get it stamped in chennai...
I was under the impression that i'm gonna take my wife along with me by adding another application to the selected date/time slot of mine....which they recommend in general..
if h1 and h4 belongs to two different classes how can I tie them together when selecting another applicant after filling those online 156 and 157's?
any thoughts?..
I'm sure many of the folks here wld have coem across this scenario as it invloves H4 - H1 stamping stuff...

I am planning to go to Canada because my PR will be ready soon and I have to land to get my cards. I am not planning to stay there. Unfortunately I was born in one of those five countries which I can not go out and in with H1. With this US immigration Retro. I really don't like to lose my Canadian profile.
I am looking for find a way going around this issue and make sure I can come back to us without any problem.
Please let me know if you can help me.

time like this..... EB backlog so bad........ wait time soooooooo many years......... you really think we care about new H1Bs...................... I say its good the CAP is not filled this year............maybe the corporations will find it difficult to get fresh cheap H1Bs.... then will push congress for Visa recapture........... so they can get skilled man power they need............
