My attorney by mistake has applied for my ead renewal 10 days before the 120 time frame. I was supposed to send my application to USCIS by June 20th but my attorney sent it today and did this by mistake. can the gurus please explain me my options. i would hate to miss the line for being diligent. do they reject my application and if so will they send it back. can i apply a new app before i get this application back or do i have to wait till it comes back (if it comes back). what other negative implications should i be worried about.

My passport was expiring so I applied for the new passport to indian embassy San fransisco. I got this new passport from indian embassy san fransisco. Now my company has applied for my H1B extension with the details of this new passport. We got a receipt number for the H1B extension but it looks like that it will take 2 more months to get the actual extension in hand.
Recently I found that my new passport has my mother's name speling mistake (one letter wrong). I am planning to call indian embassy to make this correct. As they made this mistake while creating this new passport ( my old passport and the application had the correct mother name )
I have following questions:
1. Does embassy cancels the existing passport and issues new passport in such case ? OR
It makes correction in the existing passport.
What does it do in such cases?
2. If embassy cancels the current passport and issues the new passport then in that case I should go for this change after I got my H1B extension approval (because my H1B extension has the details of current passport). is my understanding correct?
3. Say I reqest for this change after getting the approval of H1 extension and I get a new passport from the indian embassy then in that case do I need to inform about that new passport to the USCIS.

I have a Nikon D70, a 18-70mm and 180mm 2.8 Ai MF.
I�m thinking to buy this old len Nikkor AF 70-210mm, but i would like some tips and help about it.
I heard that the version D of it, 4-5.6D, is fastter than no-D version. Is it really true ?
And what about the version f/4. Is it better than 4-5.6 and D ? But i heard about it is less fast in focus than 4-5.6D too.
Who has this lens to tell me something ?
Which one is the best ?
There is a lot 4-5.6 non-D to sell here in Brasil, but D its a little more dificult and expensive.
This D, worth the extra money or the velocity of the focus from non-D its not so extraordinary.

Case details: PD 08.2007; 3 yr. H1B expiring 08.2009
What are his options to keep the GC process rolling & things to consider?
Can he return to his home country, India, and apply 485 by consular processing when his PD is current?

have u seen the legal immigration/ foriegn workers issue address by Bush today. althou he spoke just 1-2 sentences. stating that ' legal immigration system needs to be fixed, so that foriegn workers are in no harm

It's really impossible to answer this without knowing the exact employment relationship that is planned and what the denial said in detail. Presumably your employer has a lawyer who can advise on whether an appeal might be successful. It is very likely that the denial was based on there not being the correct "employer-employee" relationship. CIS issued a new memo on this last month, and there are many threads in this forum on the topic. Thank you for the reply. My confusion stemmed from whether i can use my US License as my id for gaining the license. Or whether somehow my A# or I94 number had to be noted on the license/certificate in order to use it at a later point for the green card process.

IV seems to have a lot of folks here on a h1b with a non profit organization. My wife is currently doing her residency in a non profit organization on a h1b so basically she is not subject to the cap.
After she finishes, and she looks for jobs, is it possible to get a h1b transfer in a profit organization without being subject to cap? Or H1b transfer is possible only with an non profit organization.
Any inputs will be well appreciated.

I'll throw in my very non-expert opinion here, having shot just a few weddings basically in your position.
The dress in the first shot is blown out. I might have angled the vertical dimension a bit lower to capture the full length portraits and avoid so much "dead space" at the top.
The composition on the second one is ok, but the eyes are rolling all over the room (bad grammar intentional). Since I've never shot in a paid position where I had the authority to exclude other photography during the group shots (not that I would even then), I generally defer first to the "guest" photographers, telling everyone to take their turn one at a time, and to speak up before the photo to get the subjects looking at them. Then I take over the attention and get everyone to look at me for however many shots I need to take of that pose. BTW, it's always good to take a few shots of each pose, because you're almost guaranteed to have closed eyes in different shots. I'm sure the pros will be in shortly to fill us both in on a better way to do this (I'd appreciate that, too). :)
The fill flash was done excellently, but the background is very contrasty and thus distracting.

Whn I entered US after visiting home country Nov 06, they gave me an I 94 till Dec 06 which was the end term of my first H1 B term.
i got the approval for xtension. In approval notice at the bottom, i see a new I 94 till 2009.
so now i got 2 I-94's now.
cud any body tell which is the real one.
next time whn i go out of this country, which i-94 i shud i hand it over to the officials??

Search for the memo 245i
If you have worked illegally for < 6months you may be covered by this..if its > 6 months.. go out of the country and come back in with a new i94..

There was a rule change couple or three years ago that you need to apply I 140 within 6 months of your labour approval. So yes, if thats what your lawyer means by labour expiration.
